MOBIA welcomes school groups of all ages to explore works of art from the current exhibition through close observation and discussion. Each 60-minute program is tailored to the age and ability level of every class, where students foster critical thinking skills, such as creating observation-based arguments, reasoning with evidence, and using works of art as primary source documents. During a visit to MOBIA, students are asked to cite specific evidence from art objects and draw conclusions from that evidence, while also integrating and evaluating information presented in diverse media and formats.*
For more information on how a visit to MOBIA supports classroom learning in the ways encouraged by the Common Core, please see our Common Core Page.
