The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Foundation of America, brings to the United States a remarkable collection of late 19th- and early 20th-century Russian icons.
Housed in the Museum of Russian Icons in Peccioli (Tuscany), the collection, “unique in Italy,” illustrates a notable moment in the history of Russian icons, which bridges the centuries-long spiritual tradition and a modern style and approach to iconography.
